genesis vs live
the RATIFIED world vs the deployed row vs the governance-moved levers — the never-lever list rendered as data
deployment genesis (the live configuration) — every row is NEVER-LEVER: fixed at deployment, no governance vote can change it
Governance can only move the per-epoch EpochParams levers (next table) — NEVER this row: a config change is an owner-ratified deployment upgrade. The rows the dao never-lever list names explicitly (supply, grant, pricing, faucet/drip) are frozen against the owner too; the rest are ceremony constants.
| field | live value | compiled default | class & reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| max supply | 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 µ (1,000,000,000,000 KAT) | 1,000,000,000,000 KAT | NEVER-LEVER named in the dao never-lever list — no dilute-by-printing lever exists |
| free trial grant (once per account) | 100,000,000 µ (100 TUNA (30-day expiry)) | 100 TUNA (30-day expiry) | NEVER-LEVER the free grant — dao never-lever list (drawn as TUNA trial credit — KAT is never minted at signup) |
| KAT price (µ per Mtok, the pack price) | 1,000,000 µ (1 KAT) | 1 KAT | NEVER-LEVER KAT/USD pack pricing — dao never-lever list (a compiled client constant; no runtime lever exists) |
| faucet daily cap | 0 µ (0 KAT) | 0 KAT | NEVER-LEVER the faucet/daily-drip/--refill family — dao never-lever list (contribute or pay; 0 = disabled) |
| free-tier daily drip | 0 µ (0 KAT) | 0 KAT | NEVER-LEVER the drip family — dao never-lever list (retired) |
| corpus lease fee | 1,000 µ (0.001 KAT) | 0.001 KAT | NEVER-LEVER pricing — the never-lever list's price family (a deployment constant) |
| daily grant budget (minted-grant ceiling) | 1,000,000,000 µ (1,000 KAT) | 1,000 KAT | NEVER-LEVER grant family — governance cannot reach it (owner-ratified deployment config, the anti-sybil bound) |
| mining epoch-0 reward | 1,000,000,000 µ (1,000 KAT) | 1,000 KAT | NEVER-LEVER genesis emission schedule — governance moves the per-epoch decay lever, never this row |
| mining emission cap | 100,000,000,000 µ (100,000 KAT) | 100,000 KAT | NEVER-LEVER genesis emission schedule (the schedule's absolute ceiling) |
| mining decay (deployment default) | 9,900 bp | 9,900 bp | NEVER-LEVER deployment default; the LIVE per-epoch decay_factor_bp is the governance LEVER (see the levers table) |
| treasury grant floor (reserve) | 100,000,000,000,000,000 µ (100,000,000,000 KAT) | 100,000,000,000 KAT | NEVER-LEVER treasury reserve — governance cannot touch it |
| replay reward cut | 0 bp | 0 bp | NEVER-LEVER owner-gated (0 = lane inert; arming is a recorded owner call, not a governance lever) |
| grant activity window | 604,800 s | 604,800 s | NEVER-LEVER deployment config — outside the governance surface entirely |
| shared-link TTL | 86,400 s | 86,400 s | NEVER-LEVER deployment config — outside the governance surface entirely |
live governance levers (EpochParams at the live epoch) — every row LEVER
live EpochParams match the genesis defaults — no governance delta yet · bounds are the dao guard table the ledger enforces at apply time (bounds_violation); the emission-multiplier bound (EMISSION_MULT) prices the schedule outside these per-epoch rows. Sentinel values render as their honest disabled state.
| lever | live | genesis | bound |
|---|---|---|---|
| mining share (pool) | 6,500 bp at genesis | 6,500 bp | 5,000–9,000 bp, Δ ≤ 500 bp |
| staking share | 500 bp at genesis | 500 bp | 500–3,000 bp, Δ ≤ 500 bp |
| treasury share | 2,000 bp at genesis | 2,000 bp | 1,500–2,500 bp, Δ ≤ 500 bp |
| true burn share | 1,000 bp at genesis | 1,000 bp | 500–1,500 bp, Δ ≤ 200 bp |
| usdc/kat sub split | 7,000 bp at genesis | 7,000 bp | 2,000–8,000 bp, Δ ≤ 500 bp |
| yield ceiling | 22 bp at genesis | 22 bp | 9–22 bp, Δ ≤ 2 bp |
| decay factor | 4,294,967,295 bp at genesis | 4,294,967,295 bp | 9,000–9,900 bp, Δ ≤ 100 bp — sentinel = disabled |

the RATIFIED pin
The RATIFIED genesis table lives in the deployment ceremony, outside this worker, and is deliberately NOT compiled into this worker — so this page compares the LIVE row against this crate's COMPILED defaults, which catches a drifted deployment config. The full five-source reconciliation (compiled ↔ RATIFIED ↔ live health ↔ page copy ↔ history) is scripts/tokenomics_reconcile.sh.
Words on this page
- KAT
- The network’s metered service credit. No cash value and no redemption right.
- TUNA
- Free trial credit, one grant per account, spent before KAT.
- epoch
- The network’s one-week accounting period.
- settle
- The once-per-epoch accounting pass that fixes each miner’s share of that epoch’s pool.
- burn
- Credit spent on a run. Each KAT burn is split by the network’s published parameters, mostly into the next epoch’s mining pool — the live split is on the KAT page.
- mint receipt
- The ledger’s record of one miner’s claim in one epoch: its rows, weight, amount and release date.
- 4+4 id
- An account shown by the first 4 and last 4 characters of its id — enough to recognise, not enough to identify.
verify: no stats_root committed yet · /mining/statroot · a derived view — cross-check with scripts/tokenomics_reconcile.sh and the owner-ratified genesis table; the never-lever rows are frozen against governance
Mainnet: KAT carries no cash value and no redemption right. It is metered service credit.
